Hands Up for Trad’s fabulous Tinto Tasters courses return this year (17-19th July and 20-22nd July) thanks to Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative. This course is for school age p6 and upwards and is a taster for Scottish traditional music. They’re great fun, very popular and FREE! You can book your place here www.tintosummerschool.com/shop.The tutors are:
Emma Tomlinson (fiddle)
Innes White (guitar)
Maeve Mackinnnon (song)
The Tasters are two 3 Day residential music making opportunities for young people who have no traditional musical experience or haven’t attended our original Tinto week long course. Young people aged 11-18 yrs come along to the brilliant Wiston Lodge in South Lanarkshire and and get the chance to work with some of Scotland’s top musicians. They will write songs, play and learn tunes and create music, as well as meeting new friends and generally having a great time, all led by Hands Up for Trad’s specially trained and supportive staff. Best of all though – IT’S FREE. All you have to bring is your enthusiasm and Hands Up for Trad will provide the rest.
We have a range of partial and fully paid bursaries so please contact us about this or anything else on firstname.lastname@example.org.
